Where: Andersonville neighborhood in Chicago

When: Weekends, 2pm and 8:30am

Why: This group is intended to be a combination of accountability time to write together, meeting writers in the area, and sparking inspiration/ideas by discussing our work together. The meetings are split up by focused writing time (“writing sprints”) of 15-20 minutes. There is no critique or reading requirement, but you are welcome to use the break times to share work or ask for feedback. The breaks are also used to discuss writing techniques, sharing ideas, working through writing blocks, and getting snacks from the local cafes where we meet.

This group is not an advertisement for editing services. Please come regardless of what you are working on, what stage you are on, or whether or not you will ever be interested in editing services. I’ll never talk about editing services at the group unless you ask about it. All genres are welcome and sometimes people even work on non-writing projects.
