Where: Andersonville neighborhood in Chicago

When: Weekends, 2pm and 8:30am

Why: This group is intended to be a combination of accountability time to write together, meet writers in the area, and spark inspiration/ideas by discussing our work with each other. The meetings are split up by focused writing time (“writing sprints”) of 15-25 minutes. There is no critique or reading requirement, but you are welcome to use the break times to share work or ask for feedback. The breaks are also used to discuss writing techniques, share ideas, work through writing blocks, and get snacks from the local cafes where we meet.

This group is not an advertisement for editing services. Please come regardless of what you are working on, what stage of the process you are on, or whether or not you will ever be interested in editing services. I’ll never talk about editing services at the group unless you ask about it. All genres are welcome and sometimes people even work on non-writing projects. We’d love to see you at the next meeting!
